FWG Customs – cerakote painting from Fife, Scotland, with our workshop located near Glasgow. Whatever you’d like painting, we can probably do it – airsoft RIFs, firearms parts, golf clubs – we can cerakote it!
What is cerakote, and why’s it so expensive?
Cerakote is a ceramic polymer paint. It is cooked onto the substrate, and leaves an incredibly tough surface that is resistant to scuffs and scratches. The process involves stripping the item down to its base material with media blasting and acetone, then carefully applying several layers of paint, and baking the item for an hour or two between layers. It’s labour and energy intensive, but we think the finished article is well worth the time and financial investment.
